I’m almost done with my motion graphics project. I’m over the halfway hump. I’ve been hunkered down with this thing for the past three days doing little else, and so now I’m almost done.
But I’m not sure how to proceed with the next steps. I don’t want to keep messing with it and potentially ruin what I’ve got. On the other hand, I don’t want to give it to the client too early and get stuck picking fly shit out of pepper. It’s a very delicate dance.
My writing is still moving forward at 500 words per day. I’ve gotten into the habit of leaving my work in the middle of a sentence and boy has it been way easier! I can just jump right back into it right where I left off, right into the same thought. It’s been so much easier to get flowing again since I’ve started doing that. (In the novel, I’m at the part now where they’re at the end of the date, and she’s trying to figure out a way to get him to ask her to sleep with him.)
I’ve started reading ‘Do The Work‘ by Steven Pressfield, the same author who wrote ‘The War of Art.’ It’s very similar to his first book and continues to elaborate on his concepts about the Resistance. I don’t know if I’m any closer to buying the kool-aid than I was after reading the first book, but I’m going to finish reading it anyway. There are some nice nuggets of wisdom that I’ll save for my 3×5 card library.
So it looks like I’ll be back to posting my regular topics soon. Hopefully, I haven’t lost too many of you. Give a shout out in the comments below if you’re still hanging on!
